PAKISTAN FLAG ..

FLAG OF PAKISTAN REPRESENT OUR COLOUR:
Pakistan's Flag was officially adopted on 14 August 1947 the date of independence of Pakistan from the British when India was divided into two countries.

The National Flag of Pakistan is dark green in colour with a white vertical bar, a white crescent in the centre and a five – pointed star. The significance of the colour and symbols used in Pakistan
Flag is as follows:
. The white and dark green field represents peace and prosperity.
. The crescent on the Flag represents progress.
. The five-rayed star represents light and knowledge.

The 14Th August just passed away. Pakistan’s flags are everywhere. But have you ever thought what the colours and the symbols in our flag mean. Today I will make you think on that. In this blog I will not highlight its history or something else but will only focus on its meaning .We might have studied the meanings in our school days but most of us have forgotten that. So it’s time to recall all of those.
Let’s start from the color of our flag. The green part of our flag represents the majority Muslim population and the white part of the flag represents the non-Muslim minority population. This representation of the Non-Muslims in the flag shows that, although Pakistan was created on the name of Islam but still non-Muslims living in this country will be given their full rights. This thing was elaborated in one of the speeches of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Quaid-e-Azam was a great champion of human rights, addressing the first constitution Assembly of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam said. “you are free; you are free to go to our temples, you are free to go your mosques or to any other places of worship in the state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion, cast or creed. We are starting with this fundamental principal that we all are citizens, and equal citizens of one state.”
This thought of Quaid-e-Azam is incorporated in the Pakistan flag. And later this thought was made as a part of the constitution according to UN fundamental Human rights.
But point to be cleared, although the minorities given a representation in the flag but still majority of the flag represents the Muslim population. Meaning though, that all the rules in the country will be made according to the spirit of Islam and Non-Muslims though have all freedom. But there any activity against Islam will not be tolerated.
The crescent and the star in the middle of the flag are the symbols of Islamic religion. Crescent represents the progress, meaning that Pakistan will progress and at one day become will become a develop nation. Star represents light and knowledge. According to some it means five pillars of Islam i.e. Tau heed, Sal at, Fasting, Zak at and Hajj.
Pakistani's are proud of the flag and display it everywhere. On 14th august The independence day you can nearly see a flag on every single Pakistani house, car or motorcycle. All public places are decorated with numerous flags. A common name of Pakistani flag is "Subz hilal percham" which is urdu for the green flag with the cresent.
