SWEETS AND CANDIES

Sweets and Candy, specifically sugar candy is a confection made from a concentrated solution of sugar in water, to which flavorings and colourings are added. Candies come in numerous colours and varieties and own a long history in popular culture. 

Sweets and candies are loved by younger and older ones as well, they come in so much attractive pakaging that you cant even stop your self once you have a look at it. Sweets and candies are now available in different varieties and variations even for different occasions.

People, specially children are now become so fond of candies and sweets that even they don't worry about the consequences of eating so much candies. Candies varieties are influenced by the size of sugar crystal used in making.  

These candies and sweets have now become a trend and tradition in mostly occasion all over the world. The taste and quality never disappointed anyone as every single is so fond of it.

COLOURS IN THE SEASONS

A year consist of  four seasons, which not only define year clearly but also give a variation of having different types of weather changing. These four seasons are spring, summer,autumn, and winter. Autumn is sometimes also called fall. season are the changes in weather caused by earth's changing position relative to the sun.

Spring: (The nature's colour)

                Spring is the most lovable season, it comes after winter season. It is a time when snow is melting and it rains alot in this season that is why it is most loved and enjoyable season of the year. Flowers bloom during spring and there is greenery all around the view which not only effect your environment but your mood also. In many cultures spring is specially celebrated as because of it food production and sowing of the crops. We dress according to the colour of season and usually raincoat for the backup of rain. Children mostly used to play outdoor in this season and make the full of it because a season comes one in a year.

               

   

Summer: (The shinny bright colour)

                  Summer, the known as sunny season is the very hot and bright season of the year. It comes after spring and having the most hottest and sunniest time of the year. The days are long and the nights are short comparatively. We wear light colour clothes to allow our self to move comfortably throughout this hot and dry season.  In many countries children are off from there schools to avoid the busy and tough schedule for children. In this season children mostly like to play indoor games but this is the best time for kids to go to the beach for swimming and enjoy water sport as well.

   

Autumn: (colour of the fall leaves)

         
 Autumn is also termed as fall, it is an intermediary phase in between summer and winter. The end of summer signifies the arrival of autumn. This season is characterized by mellowness. Autumn leaves have a reddish tinge which falls away in this season ther by paving the way for further growth. This is actually the time when the trees get rid of their old looks in the process of shedding  leaves. It is dry but much cooler then summer. In many countries autumn is associated with harvest, vegetable and grains ripe at this time. We normally wear light but slightly towards warm clothes. Kids mostly like to play outdoor physical games to enjoy the season as well as weather.

 Winter: (the colour for snow)

                Winter is the coldest season, with lots of ice, snow and frost all around. It is characterized by having minimum temperature and the days of shortest duration and night long comparatively. In certain areas there is extremely very precipitation in the form of snow fall and some places remain permanently covered with snow. We wear warm clothes in the season to protect our self from the cold weather but it is the best time in Northern areas of Pakistan where kids and adult as well enjoy outdoor games like sledding, skating, snowman building and snow boarding. No matter how cold the season is but it is awaited throughout.

Seasons not only add colour to the year but to the whole surrounding and world as well, we all delightful to ALMIGHTY that we are gifted if there four beautiful seasons.

MEHNDI COLOURS

Today my post is on mehndi the girls favourite…

Mehndi is a temporary “henna tattoo” on skin. Mehndi are used in Asian and some African countries of the world. Mehndi designs are applied on hands and feet of women. Application of mehndi are usually occasional in Pakistan & India like women makes different and stylish Mehndi designs on wedding day, eid or other happy occasions. 

 Mehndi is one of the popular fashion of girls to look pretty in cultural fashion. . In previous years Mehndi color was only brown or dark brown.But now a days there are different mehndi color available in markets. Mostly Orange-brown color are used by brides and girls. Other colors are dark brown, red & bluish

Today different styles of mehndi designs are in fashion. That is, you can use diamontees, multi color beads or you can simply fill the gap of mehndi pattern with different colors and shades. This multi color mehndi look quite funky and stylish too. The mehndi design covers all the hand and arms also, with gorgeous mehndi designs.

Now a days teenage girls preferred these types of embroidered mehndi designs. Mehndi fashion is famous just because of brides. Asian brides specially are incomplete without mehndi designs. In India and Pakistan Brides use mehndi to look beautiful.

Popular Pakistani Sweets (Pakistani Methai) – There is a variety of popular Pakistani traditional sweets, without them a celebration is incomplete. If there is a weeding to be announced or a happy occasion of a new birth,home or office, sweets are bought from the nearest shop and send off to friends , family and neighbours. Pakistani sweets are mainly milk and sugar based. The most famous of all are “Jalebi” orange, crispy delicious goodness that are a favourite especially in Ramadan. Most of the sweets are enjoyed cold and they taste best in their freshest forms. In Pakistan, no celebration and festivals is complete without any one of the following traditional sweets:

BURFI

                 Burfi is a sweet of every celebration and festival. It is a simply milk and sugar, cooked until it solidifies. Then it is cooled and cut in to desired shapes. Burfi varies in colours according to its type. Its texture is soft and velvety. Burfi is the most popular and basic form of Pakistani sweet. And it is often made of different flavourful ingredients like gram , coconut , pistachios, walnuts, cashews, almonds, saffron and some new types are chocolate and carrot burfi.

GULAB JAMAN       

                                  Gulab Jaman is the star of Pakistani weddings event “Mehndi”. Gulab Jaman is a popular traditional sweet. It is a made of milk solids mainly khoya and flour, formed into dough and then shaped into balls, they are then deep fried and moved to cardamom, kewra and saffron frangranced sugar syrup. Gulab Jaman are soft and velvety and dark brown to medium brown in colours. They taste best when they are fresh and hot, but they are mostly enjoyed in cold. Gulab Jaman are simply everyone’s favourite and one of my favourite sweet is Gulab Jaman.

JALEBI

               Jalebi is a sweet of Ramadan. It came to subcontinent from Iran. Jalebi is made of all-purpose flour, rice flour and curd. Jalebi is made by deep-frying flour in a circular (coil-like) shape and then dipping in sugar syrup. Jalebi is crispy and chewy and orange in colours. It taste best when it fresh and hot. Jalebi desert is also very popular in Pakistan. It is made by adding Jalebi to hot milk and left to soak in milk and soften up. This is usually enjoyed as breakfast and a cup of tea.

LADDU

                 Laddu is a sweet of new child’s birth. It is said that, laddu is originated from Gujrat. The basic laddu is made of gram flour, sugar and ghee , mixed well and formed into the balls. There is a variety of this sweets available in shop like moti chor laddu, coconut laddo, almond laddu, malai laddu etc.

BALUSHAHI

                            Balushahi , the sweet of religious gatherings. It is made of all purpose flour, baking powder, ghee and warm milk. Balushahi is crispy and air texture and orange like in colours.

RASGULLA

 Rasgulla is originally a popular sweet of Orissa, It is so delicious that its popularity spread to Bengal and nowalso known as a sweet of Subcontinents. Rasgulla’s are enjoyed cold. Rasgulla is sometimes flavoured by inserting a single nut of choice in them or lightly flavouring  the sugar syrup.  Rasgulla  when cooked in creamy thick milk makes the desert ras malai.

DESI COLOURS IN BIRYANI

Today my post topic is on my favourit  BIRYANI . The name of the dish Biryani is derived from the Persian word “beryan” which means fried or roasted. Biryani is one of the dish all over the Pakistan.it is the most traditional dish in Pakistan .no festival is complete without biryani. People of all ages never forgets to call out “Biryani” when they are naming there 5 favorite food. Cooking style of biryani is different in every community. But the thing which makes Biryani “Biryani” is that spicy meat and fragrant rice are both cooked separately and then brought together by steaming them in a pot covered on low heat called “Dum” or baking.biryani is cooked in my different style in Pakistan like Hyderabadi Biryani, Sindhi Biryani, Bombay Biryani, Kacchi Biryani, Memoni Biryani, Tahari and many more

Now talk about different types of biryani’s which are most famous in Pakistan. 

Hyderabadi Biryani:

Hyderabadi biryani is the most popular and the most basic type of biryani of Subcontinent. Hyderabadi biryani can be cooked in various variations with various ingredients.in Hyderabadi biryani mutton is first marinated in all the basic biryani spices including raw papaya and then cooked and steamed (dum) with half cooked rice.

Sindhi Biryani:

Sindhi biryani represents as a completely Pakistani biryani. Sindhi biryani is cooked by the basic method of biryani. Sindhi biryani is usually preferred with chicken; the main ingredient of Sindhi biryani is sour yogurt. Sindhi biryani is topped off with Dum of fried onions, green chilies, chopped coriander and mint leaves and yellow food color.

Memoni  Biryani:

Memoni biryani is another popular biryani of Pakistan . In Memoni biryani, lamb is preferred with an additional quantity of sour yogurt, potatoes and fried onions. However, Memoni biryani has less food color in it so the original color of biryani comes out.

Bombay Biryani:

 Bombay biryani is popular all over the world. Bombay biryani is cooked with mutton or chicken. The meat is marinated in basic biryani spices with an addition of green chilies, coriander, mint, lemon juice and plums. Bombay biryani also has fried potatoes in it

In pakistan there is no restaurant which don’t have biryani in their menu card.everyone love biryani and every girl like to cook it me also like and enjoy to cook biryani.some people like spiecy and some like simple biryani.

BIRYANI IS NOW  BECAME A TRADITIONAL  AND  AS WELL AS A TREND IN PAKISTAN.BIRYANI IS NOT ONLY LIKE BY ELDERS ,CHILDER N YOUNGSTERS  ALSO LIKE  IT VERY MUCH.
